How "Old Glory" got her name

"Old Glory" is rich with our Nation’s history & pride. Capt. Driver, a 19th century American Sea Captain, was given a 10’x17’ flag by his mother to fly from the mast of the “Charles Doggett”. First time it was unfurled Capt. Driver exclaimed “Old Glory” as his ship left for the trip around the world. So do “Old Glory” proud and fly her high.
